Seasons est né de l’appel à projet lancé par Art Explora et It’s now, pour la création d’une oeuvre numérique en milieu hospitalier, pour apporter un moment d’évasion et de contemplation dans un quotidien parfois compliqué.
Seasons est une oeuvre générative qui met en scène 4 tableaux qui représentent chacun une saison.
Chaque tableau est généré grâce à des données en temps réel qui influent sur l’oeuvre. Ces données sont des datas météorologiques comme la température, le vent, l’ensoleillement, ou tout simplement l’heure et le jour qui vont modifier tout le long de la journée ces créations numériques, rendant une oeuvre en perpétuelle évolution. Comment un élément naturel agit sur une installation numérique, mettant en couleurs et forme un chaos naturel et imprévisible.
Pour cette installation , 4 tableaux ont été travaillés en détail , représentant graphiquement les caractéristiques de chacune des saisons. Une interprétation abstraite de ces éléments naturels retranscrit numériquement.
Ces tableaux sont une invitation à de la simple contemplation, où les spectateurs pourront apercevoir les formes que leur cerveau traduit, mettant en avant la paréidolie (du grec ancien para-, « à côté » et eidôlon, diminutif eidos, « apparence, forme ») qui est un phénomène psychologique, impliquant un stimulus vague et indéterminé, plus ou moins perçu comme reconnaissable. Selon les études, cela est dû à l’instinct de survie. Discernez la faiblesse du fort, l’allié de l’ennemi, le danger de la sécurité.

Mais aussi une invitation à participer, grâce à kinect , le spectateur pourra interagir avec l’oeuvre numérique, lui donnant l’impression de toucher la peinture.
Cette installation sera diffusée dans plusieurs hopitaux en france ( Hôpital Necker à Paris, Hôpital Femme Mere Enfant à Lyon) mais aussi à l ‘étranger comme à Londres.

Seasons was born from the call for projects launched by Art Explora and It’s now, for the creation of a digital work in a hospital environment, to bring a moment of escape and contemplation in a sometimes complicated daily life.
Seasons is a generative work that features 4 paintings that each represent a season.
Each painting is generated using real-time data that influences the work. This data is meteorological data such as temperature, wind, sunshine, or simply the time and day that will modify these digital creations throughout the day, making a work in perpetual evolution. How a natural element acts on a digital installation, adding color and forming a natural and unpredictable chaos.
For this installation, 4 paintings were worked in detail, graphically representing the characteristics of each of the seasons. An abstract interpretation of these natural elements digitally transcribed.
These paintings are an invitation to simple contemplation, where spectators will be able to see the shapes that their brain translates, highlighting pareidolia (from the ancient Greek para-, « beside » and eidolon, diminutive eidos, « appearance, form ») which is a psychological phenomenon, involving a vague and indeterminate stimulus, more or less perceived as recognizable. According to studies, this is due to the survival instinct. Discern the weakness from the strong, the ally from the enemy, the danger from the security.

But also an invitation to participate, thanks to Kinect, the spectator will be able to interact with the digital work, giving him the impression of touching the painting.
This installation will be broadcast in several hospitals in France (Necker Hospital in Paris, Femme Mere Enfant Hospital in Lyon) but also abroad such as in London.
